if you have a minute why don't we go talk about it somewhere only we know
Stiles knew, when he joined the FBI, that it was inviting more insanity into his life like he faced in Beacon Hills. Or, well, technically, he expected to be sticking to non-supernatural cases, but once the division of FBI that handles supernatural crap brought him into the fold, he knew that it was going to be dangerous and crazy. And he'd decided he was okay with that, because that's what he's good at.
The time loop was not something he predicted. He guesses it's not much crazier than being trapped in a train station outside of reality, but it's - actually, it's not that different. There's still supernatural creatures hunting him, the threat of non-existence, and the distinct possibility that if this drags on too long, he's going to lose himself. Time should be of the essence, every second counting, etc. etc., which it is, but today? Today, he's clocking out. Today, he wakes up at six in the morning in the hotel room he'd been using while investigating what got him into this whole mess, and he gets in his Jeep and drives the four hours to the house he and Isaac share during the off-season.
There's some excitement to the fact that he hasn't technically done this before, that even though he knows Isaac's sleeping in in their bedroom, he doesn't know for sure if he's going to be successful when he lets himself in as quietly as possible with the intention of sneaking into bed with Isaac before he wakes up.

He's dead to the world when Stiles comes in, shirtless, hair tousled, cheeks pink with warmth from sleep, all but tangled up in the blankets. If he notices Stiles sneaking in, it doesn't show, but the weight shift in the bed has him instinctively curling toward it, seeking out the added warmth.
